Andrew C. Kelly is currently licensed as an architect in the State of Illinois and the State of Florida. He is licensed with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) as an Inspector, Management Planner and Designer. He is also NCARB Accredited which allows him to become easily licensed in other states. Locations of completed work include various counties within the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
Andrew began his architectural career in Southern Illinois in 1995 after graduating from the University of Arkansas – School of Architecture (now known as the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design) with a BArch degree. He has experience with new construction, additions, and renovations.
From 1995 to 2006, he gained experience with restaurants; health care facilities, such as cancer treatment and doctors’ offices; municipal projects such as police stations and libraries; and expertise in the K-12 educational buildings such as new construction, additions, renovations, Health Life Safety compliance and ADA compliance.
In 2006, he moved to the Metro Atlanta region. From 2006 to 2011, he gained experience with restaurants, criteria work, prototype work, prototype creation, prototype administration, prototype management, design intent manuals, design intent guidelines, strip malls, fitness centers, new construction, additions, renovations, shell buildings, tenant fit up, and tenant interiors.
In 2011, he moved back to Southern Illinois to be closer to family. From 2011 to 2015, he gained more experience with municipal projects such as police stations and an indoor recreation facility; with health care facilities such as independent living, supportive living, assisted living facilities, and memory care facilities; and expertise in the K-12 educational buildings such as new construction, additions, renovations, Health Life Safety compliance and ADA compliance.
In 2015, he decided to bring his 20 years of experiences and knowledge into an independent architectural firm. Thus, KELLY Architecture & Consulting, LLC was established.
